Gangtok / Pelling / Kalimpong / Darjeeling
On arrival at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station transfer to Gangtok (114kms/ approx. 4.5hrs) the capital of the state of Sikkim. Check in to hotel on arrival. Overnight in Gangtok.
Proceed for a full day sightseeing covering Rumtek Monastery & Dharma Chakra Centre, Chortan (Stupa), Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Saturday & Sunday), Institute of Handicrafts and handlooms (Closed on Saturday & Sunday), Flower show, Tashi View point, Ganesh Tak, Hanuman Tak, Overnight in Gangtok.
Morning transfer to Pemayangtse (123kms/approx. 6.5hrs) Day free for individual activity and leisure, overnight at Pelling.
After breakfast we drive to Yuksom (35Kms/ approx. 02hrs). On way visit Darap Village, Rimbi Water fall & Hydro Project, Khecheopalri Lake. Reach Yuksom. This was the place where the first Chogyal (a ruling dynasty in Sikkim) was crowned. Evening back to Pelling. Overnight in Pelling.
Transfer to Kalimpong (95Kms/ approx. 4hrs), a quiet hill resort in eastern Himalaya. Afternoon Half day sightseeing in and around Kalimpong Covering Zong Dog Palri Fo- Brong Monastery(If allowed by that time), Flower & Orchid Nurseries, Dello Hill .Check in to Hotel. Overnight in Kalimpong.
After Breakfast transfer to Darjeeling (52Kms/ approx. 2.5hrs) enroute visit Ghoom Monastery (If allowed by that time) & Batashia Loop War Memorial; Darjeeling – Surrounded by Tea gardens, this little town faces some of the Himalayas highest peaks. Walk around visit to the Mall and Local Market (Closed on Thursday Overnight in Darjeeling.
Early morning excursion to Tiger hill & back. After Breakfast Drive to Ropeway Station for Ropeway (entry fees/ropeway tickets not included), after ride visit Padmaja N. Zoological Garden (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Self-help Center (Closed on Sunday), Overnight in Darjeeling.
Morning Transfer to Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (95kms/ approx. 3hrs) for your onward journey back Home.
Foreign Nationals require Restricted Area Permit in order to enter Sikkim, can be obtained at Rangpo Check post entering Gangtok. Or with VISA.
Please carefully note the opening and closing days of each of the sightseeing points given in the itinerary.
Most of the 7 sightseeing points in Darjeeling are closed on Thursdays, Forests are also closed on Thursdays.
In Gangtok, Institute of Tibetology Institute of Handicrafts and handlooms are closed on Sundays.
Hotel Check in 1400hrs and check out 1200hrs
Hotels will provide extra bed / mattress as per availability for extra adult sharing double room.
