Post breakfast, drive to Haridwar. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and later visit Har-Ki-Pauri for dip bath or witness evening ‘Aarti’ – The most spectacular and spiritual ritual of Haridwar. Overnight in Haridwar.
After breakfast, proceed to next most popular holy city, Rishikesh. Popular for Laxman Jhula, temples, ashrams and Ghats. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and attend the evening Aarti at Geeta Bhawan’s Ghat. Overnight in Rishikesh.
After breakfast, drive back from Rishikesh to Delhi. Arrive and check-in at hotel. Day at leisure to explore city on your own. Overnight in Delhi.
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, which is the largest mosque in India, enjoy a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk – the busiest market in Old Delhi…noisy, chaotic and uniquely Indian. You will then visit drive past to the Red Fort, drive past to India Gate, President House and several other government buildings in Edwin Lutyens’s Delhi before you head toward Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. This simple memorial marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Thereafter, visit Humayun’s Tomb, commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562. Overnight in Delhi
After breakfast, drive to Agra. Check in at your hotel and proceed for a half-day city tour. Begin by exploring the majestic Red Fort. Next, visit the iconic Taj Mahal. After a day of exploration, relax and unwind at your hotel in Agra. Overnight in Agra.
After breakfast, drive to Jaipur with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri which was built by Emperor Akbar and is home to many historical buildings. The Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti enshrines the burial place of the Sufi saint who lived a religious life here. Today, Fatehpur Sikri is a UNESCO World heritage site. Continue the drive to Jaipur – The vibrant capital of the state of Rajasthan. Check-In to your hotel. Overnight in Jaipur.
Today, enjoy a full-day sightseeing trip of Jaipur, also known as the ‘Pink City’. Visit the Amber Fort. The best way to explore the fort is to ride up to it on elephant back. Later, stop to photograph the beautiful Hawa Mahal, also known as the “Palace of the Winds.” This beautiful façade with its ornately carved latticework windows is made of pink sandstone. Post lunch, visit the City Palace… again, a synthesis of Rajasthani and Mughal styles. Later, visit the Jantar Mantar Observatory, comprising geometric devices for measuring time. You will also visit the Albert Hall, which was modelled on the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and is a fine example of Indo-Saracenic style of architecture. After breakfast, proceed to the airport to board the flight to Mumbai. Arrive & check-in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Mumbai.
After breakfast, proceed on a half-day tour of Mumbai. Visit the Gateway of India, situated at Apollo Bunder. Next, visit the Prince of Wales Museum, which houses a priceless collection of art, sculpture, China and other antiques. Drive past the Victoria Terminus, Mumbai University and Rajabai Clock Tower. Make a photo stop at Dhobi Ghat, the open-air laundry of the city. Drive past Marine Drive, Chowpatty Beach, the Parsi Towers of Silence and Malabar Hill. Visit Mani Bhavan, the old Mumbai residence of Mahatma Gandhi. Overnight in Mumbai.
Today is at leisure. (Optional) You may proceed for the visit of Elephanta Caves (UNESCO world heritage site) – Overnight in Mumbai.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Mumbai airport for return flight.
