Kochi is the ideal starting point to know more about Kerala’s unique global exchange, both economic and cultural that goes back to two millennia. Whist the Camel Caravans on the Silk Route plodded through the Thar Desert in India’s distant Northwest corner braving extreme conditions; in the Southern part of India, the sea traders on the Spice Routes reached Kerala facing treacherous sea voyages looking for black pepper.

After breakfast proceed for city tour of Cochin.

The Mattancherry Palace is a Portuguese palace popularly known as the Dutch Palace
Chinese Fishing Nets
The huge cantilevered Chinese fishing nets that that droop towards the waters like over-sized hammocks have become a hallmark that represents Fort Kochi on the tourist map
Proceed for short Fort Kochi walk.
Kathakali Dance Show
‘Kathakali’, an important genre in the Indian classical dance form, is associated with storytelling form of this art. It, the story in ‘Kathakali’ is also communicated to audience through excellent footwork and impressive gestures of face and hands complimented with music and vocal performance through intricate and vivid make-up,unique face masks and costumes .

After breakfast check out from the hotel & drive to Kumarakom.
Drive from Kochi to Kumarakom [50 km, approx. 2 hours]
Known for its languid stillness, Kumarakom is a verdant tropical paradise located on the banks of Lake Vembanad. Backwaters, birds, and boats bobbing up and down are sights that greet you here.
Overnight in Kumarakom.
Early morning at around 0700 hrs proceed for village walk.

Heritage Walk conducted by Responsible Tourist mission of Kerala – Kumarakom is a cluster of small picturesque islands around the Vembanad Lake. The village is well acclaimed for its backwaters, delicious cuisines and greenery. This tourist destination, over the years, is one of the most-visited in Kerala.

After breakfast morning fee for leisure, in the afternoon proceed to Kumarakom Jetty to board Day cruise house boat.
