Tallinn, the capital of Estonia is a wonderful city with a well-conserved medieval center. You will enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, its walls, churches, squares, and its medieval streets filled with tourist attractions. Free time in the afternoon.
Today, you pass through forests and plains to reach Parnu, a popular spa city. You then travel on to Latvia. In Turaida, you visit the medieval castle, surrounded by a large park with sculptures dedicated to Latvian Folklore. Enjoy a walk in Sigulda, the small and charming capital situated in a very beautiful area. Continue your journey towards Riga, making a stop at “Salaspils Memorial,” located in what was a concentration camp during the Nazi period. Since 1967, it has been one of the largest monumental complexes in Europe that commemorates the victims of this regime. Arrival in Riga in the evening.
Enjoy a city tour of Riga, the capital city of Latvia, and the most populated city among the Baltic countries. The city is known not only for its cultural town center but also for its medieval old town, Art Nouveau architecture, and well-preserved vestiges from the country’s time under Soviet rule. Spend your afternoon at leisure, exploring the charm and unique blend of history that Riga has to offer.
Depart early in the morning for Lithuania. En route, visit the Baroque Palace of Rundale, designed by the same architect as Saint Petersburg’s Hermitage Museum. Upon crossing into Lithuania, experience the strong Catholic influence at the impressive Hill of Crosses, adorned with thousands of crosses. Later, explore Trakai, a stunning castle situated on an island in a lake near Vilnius. The day concludes in Vilnius. Note: Depending on sunlight duration, the visit to Trakai may occur on Wednesday after exploring the city.
Sightseeing tour of the city built on top of seven hills (like Rome, to which they like comparing it). In the city center, enjoy the Baroque churches, its walls, its castle, its market streets, and its 1200 medieval houses. Free time in the afternoon.
