With his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Calcutta, and Postgraduate credentials from Stanford University (USA), INSEAD (Paris) and The University of Surrey (UK), Mr Shezad Tincowree’ academic background is very diverse.
He is a management professional who has over 30 years of Management experience. He started as an administrative clerk and made his way to Executive Director of Sales and International Operations of a major conglomerate of Mauritius.
In 2001, he founded his own business (The Shamal Group) which currently spans over multiple areas of operations including sales and distributions, real estate and travel.
Meet Ajmal Tincowree, a visionary entrepreneur reshaping Mauritius’ business landscape. With a BA (Hons) in Management from The University of Nottingham and several professional courses, Ajmal led Shamal Travels’ restructuring in 2013. His strategic vision repositioned the company as a global travel industry leader, poised for exponential growth.
Beyond travel, Ajmal manages a diverse business portfolio, spanning food, retail, and coworking spaces. With extensive experience in business consultancy, he’s spearheaded successful turnarounds for 100+ businesses. Ajmal’s innovative strategies leave an indelible mark on Mauritius’ competitive industries.
Shazia holds a BSC International Business & Marketing degree from James Cook University – Singapore and has attended several professional courses. She has been responsible for product development and sales operations of Shamal Travels since 2015.
As Agency Manager, she oversees the overall operations of Shamal Travels, including sales, product development and operations. She is also involved in destination marketing and business development.
Abbas is a first class honours graduate in Advertising, PR & Branding from Middlesex University and is also qualified in International Diplomacy, Place Branding and Media.
Abbas has been with the Shamal Group since 2020. He is responsible and manages the Marketing Division of the Shamal Group with a portfolio of over 70 brands in Mauritius including major banks.

Rajesh joined in December 2022 & holds a diploma in Management from the University of Leicester along with several professional qualifications. He spent 14 years with major airlines like British Airways & Condor in several sales positions. He was also Sales Manager for Galileo Mauritius. He also spent several years as Outbound Travel Manager in a Top 10 travel company.
As Customer Experience Executive, he embarks on a new journey to exceed customer expectations & ensuring adequate training to deliver a first-class service.
Stacy commenced her career at Shamal Travels at 19, completing various IATA courses. She played a pivotal role in the company’s transformation, leading multiple business phases. As the current Counter Supervisor, Stacy heads the sales team, ensuring top-tier service and support for travelers.
Her leadership drives day-to-day operations, maintaining an unwavering commitment to excellence and client satisfaction.
